I'm Saved, Saved!

On March 13, 2016, Liza decided she wanted to pray that she would be forgiven and adopted into the family of God.  Andy, her and I prayed together.

Spring15

Eliza has taken off with reading!  She can pick up almost any book and just read, which is her favorite thing to do right now!

She also loves this half-wall {that I despise…} but not too much attention.  Ha!

Yester-night

Liza has that adorable 3 1/2 year old way of putting things.  A couple of her recent creations are "yester-night" and "yester-church."

A few things to remember

She is completely comfortable being alone.  Andy was building a castle with a village with the kids, and Eliza built a mountain cabin off by herself.  HA!

She likes to try new things…she was rollerskating and decided to try jumping and dancing at the same time.  I admit I was nervous about skinned up knees, but she never fell.  She is very agile and does not fall often.

She loves to complete puzzles.  She put these in rows according to color and put the nine extra ones into sets of three.  She also put them in quadrants.  I just bought a tangram type puzzle and she is the only one who has completed it so far and she’s done it several times in different ways.  Love our little Liza Lou!

Two in One Day

Today has been a banner day for Eliza saying cute things.

After a water gun fight in the front yard, she came inside to change and had the following exchange with Andy.
A- Eliza, is it raining out there?
Z- No
A- How did you get all wet?
Z- I was shooted
A- With a water gun?
Z- Yes.  I think water gun fights are a good thing.

Then, after nap time, Mandy picked her up and sat her on the bathroom counter and they had this exchange.
Z- Are you going to fix my hair?
M- Yes, that's what Mama's are for.
Z- Uh-huh...sat thinking while I fixed her hair
Z- I think I can't get down on this, pointing to the toilet paper roll holder, but I can get down on that, pointing to the toilet seat lid.
M- Don't you want me to put you back down?
Z- No, cause I'm a big chickie.

Love our Z-opolis!!

Isn't Sleepy!

Z has decided that she no longer needs a nap, nor can she be quiet while her siblings rest.  She isn't required to sleep.  Yesterday, she said she wasn't tired and then went to sleep at 3:30pm and slept until almost 6pm.  She went right to bed that night too.  She just thinks she isn't sleepy!

My Autumn Baby Girl

The day before this tiny appeared, we decided to go to a Third Day concert at the fair.  We walked and walked and walked...no wonder she came the next day!  The next day we met Daddy for a picnic lunch and he left his keys in the van.  He called me and we'd already made it home, but I said I would head back that way.  As we drove, I had to pull off Yale into a subdivision so I could stop for the contractions.  I had to stop many times on the way there and rushed back home.  I made dinner for the kiddos and lay down on the couch because the contractions were intense.  I called Andy and he came home pretty soon after that.  He asked me if he should call Ruth, but I wasn't sure.  This was my first truly natural delivery and the pain just wasn't that bad.  It was MUCH worse when I was induced with Mr C.  He decided to be on the safe side {go figure, ha} and call her.  She sent over a doula to check me and I was dialated to an eight {of a possible ten...yeah}.  She called Ruth and told her to get to our home as fast as possible.  The man with the delivery tub came and tried to set up, but I was too far along.  Our little Eliza was making her way.  I labored on the bed on my left side for three or four contractions before I said that I needed to stand up.  Andy took one arm and my Mom took the other while I squatted and delivered Eliza into this world.  She was my face up little soldier and was a little stubborn coming out.  To this day she doesn't say, do, or even think anything she doesn't want to!  I love my little independent spirit!
